Biography
Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Student of Konrad Srzednicki. From 1968 to 1978 employee of the Katowice branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. From 1978 to the present a research and didactic employee of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Częstochowa, founder of the Department of Printmaking, Graphic Design and Photography. He runs the Graphic Arts Specialization Studio - metal techniques of the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. Professor of WSP since 1992, he was director of the Institute of Fine Arts for many years, and then Dean of the Faculty of Artistic Education of WSP. He practices artistic graphics, painting, drawing; he is involved in plastic design, photography and stained glass. His work surprises with the originality of both the sphere of meaningful visual articulation of graphics and the range of technical means used. His earlier works were dominated by etching, aquatint and color zincography. In new works, another technique, forgotten for decades, heliogravure, as well as gumography, is increasingly coming into play. A new way of working is laser printing. Among the recent works, the most interesting are visions of Time-Space, cosmological visions realized in mal-graphy.
