Biography
Painter and printmaker. In 1959-64 he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the atelier of Aleksander Kobzdej and Andrzej Rudziński. His work was presented in more than 30 solo exhibitions and very numerous group exhibitions at home and abroad. He was the recipient of many awards, including: prizes and medals at the Festival of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1968, 1970), awards in the Best Graphic of the Year competitions in Warsaw (2nd prize in 1977 and 1978 and 1st prize in 1980), grand prix at the Quadriennale of Woodcut and Linocut in Olsztyn (1987 and 1992), grand prix at the 1st Biennale of Small Painting Forms in Torun (1988). Since 1994, he participated and was awarded in the Warsaw Graphics competition. He was a member of the Xylon International Association of wood engravers in Switzerland.
