Biography
Hunger studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz (now the Academy of Fine Arts), where he received the title of titular professor in 1990. For many years he worked at his alma mater, where he served as dean, vice-rector and, from 1987 to 1993, rector. He was a member of the Lodz-based Konkret Group, which was inspired by the work of Władysław Strzemiński. The members preached the need to turn to concrete art, that is, focusing on form. Hunger works in painting, drawing and printmaking.
