Rafał Olbiński (b. 1943). Painter, graphic artist and poster designer, one of the representatives of the Polish poster school. He received more than 150 awards for his works, including gold and silver medals from the Art Directors Club in New York and gold and silver medals from the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles.
In 1994, he won the Academy Award for the Most Significant Poster of the Year, Prix Savignac in Paris. In 1995, his poster won the "New York City Capital of the World" competition, selected by a jury chaired by Mayor Rudolph Guliani. In 2002, he was awarded the "Premio Divina Guilia." Awarded the Gloria Artis gold medal and the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
