Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1969. In 1981, he emigrated to the United States. He quickly became known in the local environment and became known as an excellent illustrator and painter. Since 1985 he has been a lecturer at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He also works in illustration, painting, poster design and set design. He has won great acclaim around the world and his posters and illustrations appear regularly in magazines such as Newsweek, Time, Business Week, New York Times, New Yorker. He is a very hard-working artist with a huge body of work. He has already created numerous posters for American operas (New York City Opera, Utah Opera, Pacific Opera San Francisco, Philadelphia Opera), an opera set design for a production of Don Giovanni in Philadelphia. His works have been presented in many exhibitions in the United States, Japan, France, Germany and Poland.
