Anielka P. Kromicka - the heroine of Henryk Sienkiewicz's novel Without Dogma.Anielka is the cousin of Leon Płoszowski, whom she gives boundless love. Unfortunately, Leon philosophized this love and in a fit of emotion the woman is spurned by him. She marries another man - Karol Kromicki, a merchant and speculator. Leon cannot forgive himself for his decision. He loves the Englishwoman to the point of madness, but she wants to keep her marital fidelity at all costs. Such are her principles, unlike Leon, who lives "without dogma." Soon she becomes pregnant, and complications with it cause the death of the heroine. Before she dies she will confess to Leon the great love she has resisted all her life. Earlier, Kromicki will die, committing suicide due to a bad financial situation.

Georg Meisenbach was a German engraver and inventor of the autotype. In 1883, Meisenbach & Co. merged with Heinrich Riffarth & Co. to form Meisenbach Riffarth & Company, a well-known European printing company.

Heliogravure (gr.helio + gravure) - a type of graphic intaglio printing technique, similar to aquatint, involving the photographic transfer of an image onto a metal plate (usually copper) and etching with photosensitive emulsion so that the brightest areas create the shallowest recesses. Invented in 1879.Printing is done in a special hand press. Heliogravure, which was widespread in the 19th century, was later supplanted by rotogravure, as heliogravure is an expensive and very time-consuming method. Heliogravure is used only when it is necessary to create a small number of copies of very high quality.
