Pablo Picasso met Jacqueline Roque in 1952 in Vallauris, where she worked in a ceramics studio. At the time, Picasso was 70 years old and Jacqueline was 26. Their relationship began when Picasso was still involved with Françoise Gilot, with whom he had two children.
