Condition b. good. Joan Miró - Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramicist. His works are interpreted as belonging to surrealism, as an expression of a return to childhood and as "sandboxes for the subconscious." Miró's style consists of vivid colors combined with simplified forms, associated with the drawings of a young child. Atelier Mourlot, a Parisian printing house founded in 1852 by the Mourlot family. The Atelier initially specialized in wallpaper printing; however, this changed when the founder's grandson, invited a number of 20th century artists (Picasso, Miro, Chagall, Matisse, Leger, et al.) to work with him. Mourlot encouraged painters to work directly on lithographic stones to create original works of art, which could then be produced under the direction of master printers in small editions. The combination of a modern artist and a master printer resulted in lithographs that were used as posters to promote the artists' work.
