[...] the intrusive presence of the wall, the massive prison walls of the divided city - opens the way, I believe, to interpret Wejman's represented situations of violence and uneven, tense play between the observed and the observers as a metaphorical description of the situation under the wall, in front of the wall, in front of the wall - the Warsaw Ghetto" - Luiza Nader

Dancing [X].
Three figures clad in tight leotards dance against the wall. Light falling from the side paints symmetrical shadows on the wall. A pair of dancers has moved slightly forward, the third figure, all in black, is at the back. He has lowered shoulders, a tense body and a frightened countenance, while the first two, with raised arms and confident faces, are strutting in the dance. These two seem to be doing the dance well, while the dark figure gives the impression of being stopped suddenly. They all act as if their dancing is being evaluated by the viewer.
[the aforementioned descriptions are taken from the catalog "Dancers 1944" - published by the Jewish Historical Institute, 2022]
