Mieczysław Wejman (born May 19, 1912 in Brdów, died November 27, 1997 in Kraków) - Polish graphic artist and painter. Professor, rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, co-founder of the International Triennial (then Biennale) of Graphic Arts.Graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts - diploma under Mieczyslaw Kotarbinski (1939) and the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts - diploma in painting (1946) under Felicjan Szczęsny Kowarski.
He is considered the initiator of the metaphorical graphic art trend, distinguishing the "Cracow school of graphic art.
A member of the Cracow GROUP OF GRAPHICIAN DEPARTMENTS, bringing together the most prominent representatives of Polish wood engraving in post-war Poland.The work was printed in Anczyc's printing house in Cracow by Jozef Molenda, from original pear blocks.
