Waclaw Michal Hieronim Ichnowski (born September 27, 1857 in Radom[1], died 1915 in Cracow) - Polish painter and sculptor.Son of Franciszek - tax official and Paulina Schmidt. He graduated from the municipal gymnasium in Radom, and in 1878 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.For his excellent academic performance, he was awarded the Henryk Siemiradzki scholarship in 1881, which enabled him to go to Vienna to continue his studies. From Vienna he moved to Munich and then returned to Krakow, where he settled permanently after completing his studies. From 1883 to 1901, he exhibited with the Society of Friends of Fine Arts, and exhibited again with the Society in 1910.He signed some of his works with his artistic pseudonym Michal Domrad.He was a creator of portrait painting, and also painted landscapes, allegories and paintings of sacred content. Using pastel, he was the creator of many paintings depicting women, illustrated books and was the author of postcards. In addition to painting, he was also involved in sculpture, creating in terracotta and plaster. Toward the end of his life he earned money by designing postcards. He died in poverty, in the summer of 1915. He was buried in Rakowicki Cemetery.
