Manfred Degenhardt was born in 1940 in Sigmaringen.
1964-1967 - studied ceramics at Werner Stetten / Studium Keramik in Augsburg with Werner von Stetten. In 1967 he moved to Reutlingen where he began studying pedagogy. Two years later, he began studying sculpture and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. Since 1973 he began working as a freelancer. In 1980 he became a member of the Württemberg Artists' Association VBKW and the Tubingen Artists' Association. He lives and works in Wannweil.
Manfred Degenhardt specializes in color woodcuts with clear and close compositions with references to landscapes, plant shapes and the female body. The Tettau porcelain manufactory produces plates with his motifs. He designed the poster for the event " Reutklinger Week - Dialect". He illustrates books. He designs gold jewelry. Creates large-format reliefs, sculptures in wood, terracotta and stone.
