Maria Luszczkiewicz-Jastrzębska (b. 1929) - graphic artist and illustrator. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she received her diploma in 1954 at the Department of Graphic Arts in the studio of Prof. T. Kulisiewicz. She was a scholarship holder of the Italian government in 1967 and of the Mexican government in 1974-1975. She participated as a juror a couple of times in the selection of works for national exhibitions and the International Biennale of Graphic Arts in Cracow (1976). As commissioner of the Contemporary Polish Graphics, she organized exhibitions abroad in Algiers (1966), Tunis (1968) and Luxembourg (1973). For 10 years, as a member of the commission of experts, she participated in its deliberations at the Ministry of Culture and Art. She participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She is a laureate of: 2nd prize in the National Graphics Competition in Łódź (1969), Purchase Prize at the Europahaus International Graphics Exhibition in Vienna (1969), Gold Medal at the 2nd International Graphics Biennale in Florence (1970), Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art at the 5th National Graphics Exhibition in Poznań (1971), First Prize at the National Exhibition of Illustrations to Contemporary Poetry in Warsaw (1972), Team Prize at the XII International Exhibition of Women's Art UFACSI in Clermont-Ferrand, France (1978), Prize and Medal at the National Exhibition in Sopot (1981), Special Prize at the 2nd International Graphic Arts Festival in Menton, France (1989).
