Lucjan MIANOWSKI (1933-2009). Painter and graphic artist. Studied 1950-1956 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, initially in the Poster Studio under Maciej Makarewicz, then in the Lithography Studio under Konrad Srzednicki, from 1956-1958 he studied painting in the studio of Prof. Czeslaw Rzepinski. Scholarship holder of the French government to study in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in the Lithography Studio under Pierre Clairin (1959-1960 and 1963-1964). Lecturer in lithography at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań, he obtained the title of professor. Winner of numerous awards at national and international exhibitions and art competitions. Awarded by the Minister of Culture and Art (1971), awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland (1985).
