Lithographic Stone.

Depicts a tailor's workshop with tailor's accessories. Under the coposition engraved inscriptions in stone: "Werkstaeten von Handwerkern nebst ihrem hauptsächlichsten Werkzeugen und Fabrikationen; J. F. Schreiber Esslingen N. 1836". The stone was used to create a lithograph from the series : "Craftsmen's workshops with their main tools and products" (as the German engraved signature indicates). Dimensions : 36 x 46 x 5.5 cm, weight ca. 23 kg.
The stone was probably used in the publishing process, but the fact of its preservation is a great rarity. Unsurprising soiling. Good condition.
