This edition also includes the introduction to the second edition and the preface to the fourth edition. C. V. Lavoisne (1795 - 1850) was active at the beginning of the 19th century, and is best known for his publication in duo with Mathew Carey of "The Complete Genealogical, Historical, Chronological and Geographical Atlas." The atlas contains comprehensive information on administration, statistics, genealogy, history, religion, weights and measures, currency and much more. Among other things, it contains maps: planiglobes, maps of the continents, Great Britain, France, Poland, India and etc.
