Krzysztof Skórczewski (born 1947) - studied at the Graphic Arts Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1995-2003 he was a professor at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw, and also cooperated with Utah State University (USA). He is currently a professor at the University of Rzeszow and runs the Department of Graphic Arts at the Faculty of Arts. Initially working in linocut technique, he has been doing copperplate since 1976 (studying at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm). Since the mid-1990s, he has also created series in painting techniques (pastels, watercolors) and drawing. He has had more than 60 solo exhibitions at home and abroad and participated in many group exhibitions. He is a laureate of, among others. He was awarded, among others, II Prize and Funded Prize at the IV and XI International Biennial of Graphics in Cracow ( 1972, 1986), I Prize at the II International Festival of Graphics in Menton ( France) 1989. Special Prize at the International Biennial of Graphics "Cuprum VI" in Lubin (Poland) 1995 and I Prize Premio Sciascia (2009).
