Biography
Painter and printmaker, student of Skoczylas, under whose influence the artist's early work drew inspiration from folk art and ornamentation. After 1930 Wiszniewski changed his interests and took up architecture and landscape, greatly enriching his graphic technique. He mainly cultivated woodcuts. The subject of his works is the historic architecture of Gdansk, Poznan, Kazimierz, Warsaw and other cities.
