Painter, draughtsman, workshop and book printmaker (used metal techniques, especially the dry needle technique) and interior designer. He was the brother of the graphic artist Sigmund and husband of the graphic artist Izolda. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where he received his diploma in 1951. He became a teacher in the Department of Graphic Arts at this university. In 1958-1973 he was a member of the Torun Group.
