Jonasz KOPERKIEWICZ, Tell me the truth

Jonasz Koperkiewicz - born in 1988 in Lodz, Poland. Graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. He completed his diploma with honors in the Screen Printing Studio led by Prof. Agata Stępień. His works, oscillating around illustration in the broadest sense, are realized in various techniques, such as painting, drawing and printmaking. The main theme of his work is animals, which in his drawings bear the mark of human emotions. He juggles styles, symbols with unusual lightness. In his works an important role is played by color, the degree of vividness of colors, temperature, saturation, transparency.

Tell me the truth - The two main elements of the work are the minimalist composition, limited to just three shapes, and the heavy emotional charge conveyed to the viewer by the hands shown. The sparing composition means that each of the depicted elements can be given a symbolic meaning, different for each viewer.
