Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Artsat Nicolaus Copernicus Universityin Torun, where in later years he was a lecturer in painting techniques and copy.

He painted mainly landscapes. Since 1955 he presented prints, drawings, watercolors, tempera and oil paintings at numerous exhibitions For many years he lived in Kazimierz Dolny where he moved from Warsaw.

He was a member of the Kazimierska Konfraternia Sztuki. He had over 80 solo exhibitions and dozens of group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He was the recipient of many awards and prizes and his works are in museum and private collections. He was a member of the British and Royal Academy of Watercolors.
