Jerzy Faczynski - painter, architect and poet. Born in 1917 in Rykovo, Ukraine, died in 1994 in Liverpool. In 1936 he entered the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. During World War II he served on the Hungarian front, later in the Polish Air Force in the UK. After the war he settled in Liverpool, where he worked as an architect and created drawings, prints, watercolors, oil paintings, stained glass and woodcuts. Between 1940 and 1967 he participated in 9 solo exhibitions and 21 group exhibitions.
