Biography
He is a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He created in the field of graphics, illustration, poster, drawing and animated film. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski. He received his diploma in 1957. Winner of the Prime Minister's Award for artistic work for children and young people in 1974, 1983, 1987. He presented his works in many individual exhibitions at home and abroad, including: Warsaw 1965, 1972, 1986, 1979, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002; Radom 1976; Zamosc 1987; Piotrkow Trybunalski 1992; Sandomierz 1993; Plock 1993; Tarnow 1994; Olsztyn 1998; Plonsk 2002. He participated in numerous group exhibitions, where he received many awards and honors, including: 2nd prize in the competition for illustrations to "Don Quixote" by M. Cervantes, Buenos Aires 1966; Premio Grafico award at the International Children's Book Fair, Bologna 1968; Gold Medal at the IBA International Exhibition of Editorial Art, Leipzig 1971; Bronze Medal at the International Book Exhibition, Moscow 1975; Gold Poster at the International Biennial of Illustration, Bratislava 1975, 1977; Grand Prix in the Warsaw-themed caricature contest, Warsaw 1996. Repeatedly awarded and honored in the competition of the Polish Society of Book Publishers for the best published book of the year.
