Studied in the Drawing Class of W. Gerson in 1883-1885 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and in1885-1888 in Paris in the studio of E.A. Carolus-Duran. In 1897 he took over the chair of landscape at the SSP in Cracow. Creator of the Cracow school of landscape painting. Founder and president of the Society of Polish Artists "Art". He painted landscapes, posters, stage designs.
