Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts in 1960- 1966, with a diploma in the Studio of Copperplate, Lithography, Woodcut. Scholarship holder, MKiS (1982), founder of the Creative Group "13", member of the Association of Polish Pastelists and member of ZPAP. Awarded for his artistic activities, among others: Medal of the 40th anniversary of Poland, Silver Cross of Merit, Bronze Medal for Merit for National Defense, Meritorious Cultural Activist, For Merit for Tarnów Province, medal for Merit for the City of Tarnów,
Badge of honor of Z.G. PCK. Jacek Janicki's achievements include countless exhibitions; he is the author of the project of the medal "For Merit to the City of Tarnów", the portfolio of drawings "Monuments of Tarnów" on M/S "Tarnów", the portrait of General J. Bem on M/S "J.Bem", the portrait of General J. Bem for the Ministry of Labor in Budapest. His works are in the collections of museum institutions in Poland, Finland, Hungary, and in private collections at home and abroad.
