Literature
Visual artist, creator of art books. The artist combines visual and poetic narrative in his works. He often uses irony and absurdity juxtaposing them with serious subject matter, thus creating an alternative world.
The work is an illustration project for Honza Zamojski's book "Rhymes Like Dymes," which was published by the author's own publishing house Morava, in a quantity of 300 copies. Working on this book became an opportunity to delve into family history and the broad background of Czech history.
Biography
Graduate of the University of Arts in Poznan. Artist, book designer and publisher, as well as curator, who draws on a variety of media in his practice: from drawing, to drawing sculptures, to infographics from the corporate world, or poetry. This diversity reflects the artist's spectrum of interests, the foundation of which is a utopian desire to organize and understand the surrounding world. Honza Zamojski creates narratives that, when viewed from a further perspective, build a coherent, multi-level world based on a philosophy of doubt. Minimalist in form but rich in meaning, symbols, abstract compositions and figurative representations make up a visual language that is governed by its own grammar and formal structure. And what often binds seemingly distant elements together are simplicity of forms, humor and distance from himself. Author of more than a dozen books (including Love Letter, onestar press 2017, Four Eggs Theory, 2015, Fishing with John, NERO 2013). Author of the How it's made lecture series, presented at Centre Pompidou, MoMA Library, and Printed Matter New York, among others.
