Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Stefan Batory University in Vilnius - graduated in 1939. In 1937 he was a co-founder of the Vilnius Group. He arrived in Toruń in the autumn of 1946. Here he took a job in the Department of Graphic Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts of M. Copernicus University; from 1952 to 1954 he served as vice-dean, and 1954-1956 as dean. He worked primarily in woodcut and linocut techniques, less frequently in metal techniques and lithography. He presented his works at numerous exhibitions.
