Biography
Edward Antoni Manteuffel-Szoege was born on July 5, 1908 in Rzezhitsa (now Latvia). He was a Polish painter and graphic artist. He studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts. Among other things, he was involved in designing covers and magazines, illustrating books, exhibition decorations and window display designs. During his brief creative period, he was an illustrator, created ex-librises and linocuts, and was a wood engraver. He was also involved in interior decoration and wall painting. He was murdered in unexplained circumstances by the NKVD in April or May 1940 in Kharkov.
