CHODOWIECKI Daniel (1726-1801), [engraving, 1764] Boy at the spit; etching 11.5 x 14.5 cm., card size 14 x 17 cm.

Notes left by Daniel Chodowiecki read: "I drew from nature how at the gardener Thomas's house in front of the Potsdam Gate his son turned a spit with a roast lamb on Sunday evening, later consumed by the family of the artist who lived there during the summer." Unsigned engraving.
