Biography
From around 1895 he studied drawing at the Museum of Crafts and Applied Arts, where he took advice from Wojciech Gerson. In 1902-05 he studied painting in Cracow with Jozef Unierzyski and Teodor Axentowicz; later with Leon Wyczółkowski (semester 1911-12), Jacek Malczewski and graphics with Jan Wojnarowski. In 1906 he settled permanently in Warsaw, where he actively participated in the artistic life of the city and exhibited a lot. He belonged to the Pro Arte art association and was a member of the TZSP from 1918. The main motif of his works was historic architecture, he also painted landscapes and was involved in printmaking.
