Portrait in copperplate, signed "Peint par Louis de Silvestre, premier Peintre du Roy en 1743 Grave a Berlin par G[eorg] F[riedrich] Schmidt, Graveur du Roy." (After 1743). Under the composition the inscription: "Auguste III Roy de Pologne Electeur de Saxe". Format: 50.5 x 36.5 cm (board: 53 x 39 cm).
Condition: very good. king with glove in left hand, right hand supported on hip, figure to knees 3/4 to right. In the background regalia, drapery and sky. At the bottom an inscription separated by a coat of arms. Lit. catalog of portraits no. 202.

Condition b. good. Queen in standing position 3/4 to the left, next to a table on which lie the electoral and royal insignia. In the depth a balustrade with a monumental garden urn and a parrot pecking grapes, against the background of the sky. The portrait is in a plain-like stone frame with an inscription separated by a circular medallion, in which a five-field shield with the Eagle, the Pogo and the coat of arms of the Wettin family in the middle.
