Mieczyslaw Antuszewicz (1927-2019) - painter, stage designer, writer and poet. Initially, from 1945, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (under Prof. Tymon Niesiolowski), in 1948 he moved to the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (under Prof. Jan Cybis), after receiving a degree in painting in 1952, he continued his studies at the Department of Stage Design (in the atelier of Władysław Daszewski), receiving his diploma in 1956. After graduation, he worked at the Guliwer Puppet Theater in Warsaw, and in 1962 became a stage designer at the Olsztyn Puppet Theater. He authored several plays for children. In addition to his work in the theater, he constantly practiced painting, painting and drawing, including landscapes, still life and genre scenes, nudes. He participated in several solo and group exhibitions.
