The board comes from the portfolio "Collection of the most beautiful and interesting areas in Galicia; b.m. (Lviv), b.r. (1823), lithographic workshop of P. Piller. A graphic from one of the earliest albums devoted to the Polish landscape, it contains views of the most beautiful sights of Galicia, The views are complemented by interesting documentary-style staffage - working peasants, travelers, strolling landowners. The engravings are described below in Polish and German and signed on the stone.
Antoni Lange (1774-1842), painter born and educated in Vienna, working in Lviv from 1810. Polishized and strongly associated with Lviv's cultural circles, he was also involved in landscape painting. During his numerous travels he immortalized the corners of Volhynia, Podolia, Malopolska, and his works were reproduced in lithography. Lit.: SAP vol. IV, p. 437, M.
