Anna Szyszko-Bohusz Szymborska (1892-1979) well-known Cracow artist, and above all one of the first conservators of the Wawel Castle. Privately, sister of Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz and wife of Waclaw Szymborski. Together with her husband, she was involved in the restoration of the ceilings of the Polish Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. She also created copies of well-known compositions by Polish artists, an example of which is a faithful copy of the work Nicolaus Copernicus by Jan Matejko intended for the previously mentioned Polish Hall.
The offered work is an example of the artist's excellent technique. Despite her great achievements as a conservator, Anna Szyszko-Bohusz's works do not appear on the auction market.
