He has had a number of solo and group exhibitions in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy and the USA. He is the recipient of several awards ,including First Prize at the Cracow National Competition for Artistic Posters - "Poster of the Year 1998".
In his works, Andrzej Sznejweis creates a space of original poetics, juxtaposing the natural world with objects of everyday use or creations of civilization in an unexpected way (although always in an edition a little distant from the present - an archaic gramophone, a telephone with a dial, a gas lantern...). Gently using color, he creates a mood of elusive longing, a desire to escape from the onslaught of words and information. He also does not shy away from the grotesque and bitter humor. His small-format etchings are characterized by precision of execution and attention to detail with a fine, artful line, while his linocuts, art posters and illustrations are characterized by synthesis and expression. The artist is associated with Opole. He has devoted many years to teaching, and has also curated a number of community exhibitions.
