Cards loose, pages with local soiling and yellow spots, otherwise good condition. Each copperplate illustration has a printed title in French, as well as the signature of the copperplate workshop (e.g., P.F. Tardieu 1762; P. Chenu 1762; P. Aveline; P. N. Gaucher). The illustrations depict, among others: Regulus sentencing to torture; Hannibal's victory at the Battle of Cann; Death of Melius; Death of Lucretia; Decapitation; Young Horace's penance after killing his enemy.
