Artist Biography:
Anastasiya Markovych is a Brychany-born surrealist painter from Ukraine, known for her many exhibitions and publications. She is related to an artistically talented family, which influenced her interest in art. In 1990, she began studying at the School of Art in Chernivtsi, from which she graduated with honors. Markovych has had several solo and group exhibitions, including at the National Museum of the City of Lviv and in Kiev after being invited by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. In 2007, she was honored and selected for a catalog under the auspices of the President of Ukraine, "The World of Levkas," which brought together the best artists from Ukraine. In 2009, she began studying graphic design at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She earned her diploma in the studio of Professor Bogdan Miga, and studied painting techniques in the studio of Professor Adam Wsiolkowski and in the studio of Professor Stanislaw Tabisz. Her works can be admired at the Contemporary Art Gallery and Auction House Koneser.art, as well as at numerous exhibitions, including at the National Museum in Lviv, Bucharest and Kiev.
