Adam Marczyński (born 1908 in Cracow, died 1985 there) - painter, graphic artist and sculptor. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1930-36. He exhibited together with the 1st Cracow Group, from 1957 he was also active within the 2nd Cracow Group. From 1945 until his retirement, he ran a painting studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In his work he experimented with various forms of modern painting: expressionism, cubism, surrealism, abstraction and matter painting; in his later work he turned to construction, creating spatial works in the form of assemblages and collages. He is the author of highly regarded church polychromies (Nowy Wiśnicz, Tarnów Cathedral, Ratułów, Brzesko, Sokołów Małopolski). He was the author of book illustrations, including Blue Cards by A. Rudnicki, Porwanie w Tiutiurlistanie by W. Żukrowski, Memoirs of Pasek, Restless Hours by I. Jurgielewiczowa.
He is the author of an 8-meter-high kinetic form realized in collaboration with M. Klaus and J. Rakowski during the 1st Biennial of Spatial Forms in Elblag (1965). The sculpture has wind-moved flaps, fixed vertically to rectangular frames. It is located in the Michal Kajka Park in Elblag. He is buried in Salwator Cemetery
