Studied history of material culture at the Academy of Fine Arts (1950-1951) and Jagiellonian University (1951-1952). He was repressed by the UB and forced to stop his studies and work in a glass factory. From 1953, he was artistically active, publishing satirical drawings in the Polish press (Dziennik Polski, Przekrój, Szpilki, Panorama Polnocy, Magazyn Polski, Tygodnik Powszechny) and abroad (Paese Sera, Dikobraz, Izwiestia, Eulensspiegel). Since 1967, he has published poems and short prose pieces in Tygodnik Powszechny and Przekrój. In 1969-79 he was the creator and executor of the International Folksong Studio. He is the author of many art exhibitions at home and abroad. In 2013 his book "Under Red Occupation" was published. He lives and works in Cracow. Adam Macedonski is a man of great sensitivity. His work has the character of satirical journalism with a characteristic geometric forme.
