An exceptional period-colored lithograph depicting the defeat of the Russian fleet at the fortress of Yenikale on March 26, 1855 , during theCrimean War (1853-1856). At the time, the British and French used steam ships en masse, rather than sailing ships. Lithograph by Louis Le Breton (1818-1866) famous for his nautical themes. Graphic framed in white passe-partout. Rare!
Piece db preserved, clear coloring, but numerous stains in all margins.
