Gundacker von Polheim came from the Upper Austrian nobility, was the founder of the town of Grieskirchen, imperial chamberlain and secret councilor. He obtained for the village of Tiefenbach the craft privileges of weaver [1606], tailor [1616], blacksmith, innkeeper, cooper [1623]. In 1975, the municipality of Tiefenbach adopted the coat of arms of the Barons of Polheim in its coat of arms.
