Danish painter. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1876-83 and traveled throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Germany until 1890. He won the Sodrings Prize in 1886, the Danish Royal Academy Medal in 1886, 1893 and 1902, and the Bielke Medal in 1895. He created idyllic, detailed landscapes and interior views.
