URBANIEC Maciej [1925-2004] - Polish artist - graphic designer, one of the co-founders of the Polish School of Posters, Warsaw insurgent pseud. "Bartek". Graduated from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts [under H. Tomaszewski]. He created applied graphics, primarily posters and book graphics, he also designed stamps for the Polish Post Office. He debuted in 1957 with the poster Not Mine, published and awarded by WAG (Artistic and Graphic Publishing House of the RSW "Prasa-Książka-Ruch". He had several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. Repeatedly won awards at exhibitions of competitions.
