EIDRIGEVICIUS Stasys (1949 - ) - painter. Poster artist, creator of ex-librises, book illustrations. Graduated from the School of Arts and Crafts in Kaunas (diploma with honors), the Institute of Fine Arts in Vilnius at the faculty of painting and graphic arts. He has received numerous awards, including the International Biennial of Contemporary Exlibris at Malbork Castle, the 9th International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, and in 1981 he received an award from the Polish Society of Book Publishers, for his illustrations to the book "King of Ravens" as the most beautiful book of the year. In 1988, he received the American Film Critics Award for his poster for the film "Masquerade" by Janusz Kijowski. In 2000 he was honored with the Lithuanian Order of Gediminas, and a year later with the Lithuanian National Prize in Art. The artist's works can be found at the National Museum in Warsaw, Poznan, Szczcin, Wroclaw, the Poster Museum in Wilanow, the Broyish Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Vatican Museum and in private collections around the world.
