Lot description Show orginal version

1941 Otwock Ghetto.

Otwock Ghetto - established in the fall of 1940, was liquidated on August 19, 1942. It was the second largest ghetto in the Warsaw District. Within two years it was inhabited by a total of 15,000 Jews. Despite this, correspondence from this ghetto was infrequent.

In the upper left corner is the stamp of the header of the Jewish Council Judenrat der Stadt Otwock.

Postcard sent to the USA by a Polish Jew, written in Polish.

Great rarity.
