Biography
Painter, illustrator, designer, creator of comic strips, graduate of the painting department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (studio of A. Nacht-Samborski). Beginning in 1973, he worked for "Świat Młodych" for several years. He designed the layout of the weekly magazine "Together" and worked as a graphic designer in this magazine, publishing the series "Together with a Practical Gentleman". In 1976 he collaborated with "Relax," where his comic strips appeared, including "Orient-Men." He created such popular characters as Professor Nervosolek and Shaggy and Bubble. In the 1980s, Baranowski's comics made their way into albums. Some of them were reprints from "World of the Young," while others were drawn completely from scratch for the original script. Beginning in 1998, he collaborated with "World of Comics" for a year. He was the author of the magazine's first logo and its layout. In 2005 he started an unprecedented project: the author himself, with the support of fans and readers, published a farewell collectible album, in which Professor Nervosolek and Entomology go into a well-deserved comic retirement. The album was titled "Tffffuj! It sucks with this kind of comic." He developed a unique and imaginative style. His out-of-the-box, intelligent, multi-layered humor won him a multitude of fans. In 2007 he was awarded the Silver Medal "Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis" by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
