Hand repoussed brass plaque depicting the Siren of Fighting Warsaw designed by Stanislaw Horno-Poplawski in the POW Camp of Oflag II C Woldenberg. Horno-Poplawski fought in the September campaign. He was taken prisoner, and in 1939-1945 was in Oflag II C Woldenberg, where he taught courses in drawing and painting, according to him, among other things, stamps were created there, one of them with a mermaid design. The stamp was probably made by Stanislaw Horno-Poplawski in the POW camp or in the postwar period. Condition as shown in the photos. Measures 19.6 cm x 19.6 cm
