Lot description
Bronze plaque depicting a bust of Jozef Pilsudski designed by artist Feliks Robakowski (1896-1980). The Marshal's profile facing left, wearing a uniform with a prominent collar with eagles and a decoration under the neck. In the lower right corner the artist's signature "Robak 1928r", from the lower rant the foundry's signature "J.Wasilewski", "Warsaw" is visible. A popular depiction of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski reproduced to this day. Presented piece is a rare original example of pre-war workmanship additionally signed by Warsaw foundry! Condition as shown in the photos. Size of the plaque: 33 x 33 cmDimension of frame: 54 x 49 cm
