BIOGRAM: LESIA PCHOLKA (b. 1989 Borisov, Belarus, currently lives in Poland) explores everyday life, memory and social problems through art. Her works are in the Italian gallery IoDeposito and in private collections.

Lesia Pcholka graduated in psychology from Minsk Innovation University. From 2009 to 2013 she worked as a freelance photographer. In 2013 she founded the first charity store in Belarus (KaliLaska). In 2017, she founded VEHA, an independent art initiative with a mission to preserve the visual history of Belarus. From 2018 to 2020 she was a member of the Belarusian Association of Photographers. Since 2020, she has been teaching at the European College of Liberal Arts in Belarus. After the people's protests in Belarus in 2020, she was charged on political grounds and imprisoned, and was forced to flee Belarus.

The artist has completed several international educational programs, including Biz4all ODB Brussels (2016), ArtPlatform of the European Cultural Foundation (2018), Creative Enterprise by Nesta (2018), Sputnik Photos Mentoring Program (2020), Eastern European School of Political Studies (2020) and others.
