oil on canvas, 45 cm x 60 cm
For Krzysztof Zynkiel, the number of painted works is not what matters. In his work he focuses on the quality, message and depth contained in them. What does he consider important? It is the best thought-out composition. It must not be chaotic. Each figure, object, thing must be located in the right place. The painter strives for perfection in his paintings with care and attention. As he himself repeatedly states: "it takes me two months on average to work on a painting that I can consider finished." Whenever he paints figures, he works with a live model. This allows him to reflect the character of the figure depicted in the work as accurately as possible and to capture the right light and shadow. The artist does not duplicate his works. For new ideas, he reaches into the depths of his own imagination, because he believes that it is a treasure trove of ideas.
